• I have had the pleasure of working with Jill as state registered arts therapist (drama) with a range of clients including the elderly and people with drug and alcohol addiction. I have always found Jill to be extremely professional and committed to the work as well as fundraising and community events. Jill is energetic, driven, committed and professional.

  • Jill Wheeler-Bowden and I presented interactive workshops for adults on children's picture books. Using her progressional skills as a dramatherapist, we were able to collaborate learning spaces for adults in what was both familiar (the picture books) and unfamiliar (that what stays with us can indicate deeply personal themes and storylines).

  • Jill has worked as a youth worker, specialising in in running drama sessions for disabled young people. During her time with us she has proved her ability to form positive relationships with young people. She has very good communication skills, which make her very approachable. She is passionate about her work and has a good understanding of the issues, which affect young people in an inner city environment. Effective in planning, implementing and evaluating appropriate interventions to tackle issues faced by disabled young people, she has organised various events/shows to celebrate young peoples' achievements. Jill has a good understanding of the value of youth work with disabled young people, especially in terms of giving young people independent living skills, working with health and safety issues. Throughout her time at Elfrida Rathbone, Jill has proven her ability to use her own initiative, she is hard working, reliable and has been a valuable member of the staff team.

  • As a small business owner, as a mentor. Jill assisted me with several critical areas. She collaborated with me to set clear, achievable goals. We always reviewed my progress and she held me accountable to those goals. She would ask thoughtful questions to help me consider different angles and then offer advice drawing from her own extensive experience. Jill's feedback was kind but constructive- helping me continuously refine my leadership abilities. She accelerated my professional growth by building my confidence through unwavering emotional support. I would highly recommend Jill as an incredible mentor.
